Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor by tehfusion Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor by tehfusion
This is a screenshot from Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor. This is a memory editing program which I released earlier today for the game Sonic Adventure DX on the PC. It gives you a great deal of control over your chao and the gardens that they exist in.

Does the Chao Editor work for online-console.com version of SA2B or SADX or a dolphin emulator?

No, it doesn't. It currently only works for the PC versions of SADX and SA2B.

Might I ask: Where can I get the PC versions of SADX and SA2B?

You can get both of them on Steam. SADX can also be bought on a disc from places like Amazon.

Sorry for asking so many questions, but could you answer these please? Just these and I'm done. Also sorry for sending questions here.
1. What is required to download from steam? I want to be sure I'm able to download the games and play them and not waste anything.
2. If I do download them, will it work on a Windows 7 Home Premium?
3. Is there a PC version of Sonic Adventure Dreamcast? I keep hearing stuff about it but cannot find it. Just curious.

These may be stupid to ask, but I want to make absolute sure I can get them before I do anything.
Sorry for the questions. I just don't know where I can post them. This is most likely the last I'll ask you. Please don't be mad.

I don't mind you asking questions.

1. Nothing special is required to download it. You'll need the Steam client installed on your computer. You'll need to have purchased the game and be logged into your account. You'll also need enough free disk space to store the game. SADX requires just under 2 GB, and SA2B requires just over 3 GB.

2. Yes, they will both work on Windows 7 Home Premium.

3. There isn't a PC version of the original Sonic Adventure. The PC releases of Sonic Adventure are ports of Sonic Adventure DX from the GameCube.

However, I've just been made aware that a recent update to one or both of these games has stopped my Chao Editor from working. Fixing that will be easy, and I'll do it as soon as possible — probably within the next few days. I just want you to be aware of it in case you get the games immediately and then wonder why my editor doesn't work.

Since it's only for the PC, do you download the program free, or it has a cost?

Any way I can use this to...Apply on Chao in a GBA? I mean, for Gamecube I have used the GBA as a middleman when transferring between SA2B and SA DX. So, my plan involved getting the GBA to hook up to the PC (yes, there are cables for that purpose, and if it could work, I'll just have to buy Sonic Advance online if I need a long-term storage means in terms of data modification) and using this editor upon that Chao, which will then ultimately get sent back to the Gamecube.

Sorry I'm a year late. ^^;

Can you make a version where we don't need SADX PC cuz I don't have SADX PC and I refuse to pirate the game.

Sorry I'm late, but I have been researching a plan involving connecting the GBA to the PC, and editing them there. :plotting:

I'm not sure what you mean, but you should be able to edit the chao in every way you could on Dreamcast, and more. The chao system of SADX is much improved from SA and SA2, and my editor allows you to customise almost everything. If you are referring to extreme second evolutions, where the chao can just have something like longer spikes, or be a warped mess of polygons, then you can do that with my editor too. You can also max out every stat at 65535, and give the chao otherwise unobtainable textures.

Can this also make character-chao? Like a Tails chao or something?

Yes, it can create all the character chao — Amy, Knuckles, and Tails — as well as the "fake" character chao such as the Neutral/Run/Run Sonic. In the screenshot I took you can see on the left that some of the chao are character chao.

Oh and just wondering, can it make a Shadow chao too? Or is it only on SA2B?

SADX PC has all the same chao types as SADX GC and SA2B. A Shadow chao is a Dark/Run/Run evolution, and my editor can create that too.

You need to run SADX and the editor should automatically find it. If it doesn't, try right-clicking the editor shortcut and choosing "Run as administrator" (on Windows Vista and Windows 7). If it still doesn't work, you may have found a bug.
